Polling Engines Not finding Interfaces

Has any had an issue with the additional polling engines not showing the network interfaces?

My environment is behind cisco aci with 4 additional polling engines. When I send a network node to polling engine 1 (web server) everything works perfect. If I assign a network node to an of the additional polling engines non of the interfaces appear. I confirmed the firewall is turned off on all the polling engines and still created the rule to for the APE recommended ports. Not sure what else to do at this point. I do have a ticket open with SW support but want to see if anyone has had a similar issue. I am running 2024.1 again this is only happening on the APE not the main PE which we use for web services only. We did restart services and the issue still happens.

Are you sure there's no configuration on the end device (which you are trying to add on SolarWinds) which restricts this ? On the device end do you have some kind of whitelisting IP's for SNMP ? Or some kind of access control rules on the end device ?

You should start with checking for this - configuration on the network node.

yes i am sure. The only thing I am doing is adding nodes to solarwinds and selecting the APE rather than polling engine 1 Nothing on the switches would block the interfaces from showing up in solarwinds

Is this behavior the same on all your additional pollers ? No matter to which ever additional poller you add the new network node is it the same ?

So I think what Vinay is talking about are your pollers IP's added as allowed hosts in the SNMP configuration? This security feature prevents other IP's trying to query SNMP, so if the host is not allowed to query SNMP then you won't get any information sent to it.

Example on Fortigate - host 172.16.12.185/32 is allowed to query SNMP public trap.
