Does Network Sonar Discovery Overwrite the existing SAM Application Monitoring?

Does the Network Sonar Discovery Job overwrite the existing SAM Application Monitoring? Let me explain it more as below:

Scenario 1: Suppose, I do have 500 servers being monitored via Agent and out of 500 Servers, there are 50 Servers on which I am monitoring IIS. I create a Network Discovery Job for the new servers that are discovered in the same subnet and I keep the Application section unchecked as I dont want to add the IIS or other SAM templates to be added on new discovered server. So my question is that when this job will run and scan all the servers in this subnet including the already added servers, will it remove the IIS monitoring from the already existing server as in the Discovery Job I havent selected the Application option?

Secnario 2: I do have a Server X on which I am monitoring Fixed Drives C, D and E. and I have unchecked Fixed Drive F. I create a Discovery Job and select to add all Fixed Drives. When this Job will run, will it add the Fixed Drive F automatically to Server X or it will work for newly discovered servers only?

Squinting at the scenarios a little but

S1) 95% Confident no, 5% I didnt get you
S2) Yes, assuming that you either add F mnaully (select all) or dont rule it out via the auto-add settings, but you can exclude it from the discovery I believe

Agreed with Adam. I think I can say 100% no for the first question. I am reading it differently. It will not remove the application when you rediscover, it just will not add new applications as that option was unchecked.

On the second question - the ignore/dont add option becomes very useful. Otherwise, you will most likely see that F drive show up after you delete it.
