Unable to finish my upgrade because of a DNS Error

Hello Good people,

Kindly assist me on how to go past this error.

I am updgrading an old Orion version(2019) to version 2020 as i cannot go to version 2024 version directly.

I am stuck here even after changing the server name from MMM_SWorion to MMM-SWOrion, it won't go to the next step, also it keeps on picking the old name

Surprised it wasn't a problem in the older version but is now.  In any case you probably want to get on a call with support if you havent already and I would guess that they are going to walk you through the process of updating the database engines table directly to get the old entry updated.

@elizabeth.wairimu I believe I found your case.  The hostname of the poller has an underscore and the reason why it is being flagged as an invalid hostname.  Underscore is not allowed.  You'll want to remove the underscore from the hostname.

Did you have a solid period of normal operation between changing the DNS name and when you've retried the install?

There's an Engines table, i think it's just DBO.Engines, which is editable in database manager, i'd try and make sure it was updated and allowed to chill first if I could. If i could not, then I'd take a look in Engines
