Can SolarWinds detect which firewall is blocking a port? We're preparing to upgrade to v2024.2 which deprecates the SWIS running on 17778 and moves it permanently onto port 17774.
We have polling engines in three different environments. The MPE's and most of the other pollers sit in our Prod network, but we have to sets of pollers in two different DMZ networks. During pre-update port testing noted that port 17774 is not open in any direction between our Prod and DMZ networks.
While reading the docs I'm pretty sure that poller -> mpe and vice versa remains on port 17777 and 17774 is only for the API, so comms between the pollers in each DMZ and the Prod MPE's isn't affected, it got me thinking.
Can SolarWinds detect which network device is blocking traffic on a given port? Would Netpath be capable of that if I setup paths in both directions between pollers and the MPE's?
