remove/unregister database after server has been shutdown

I have shutdown the server. Now trying to remove/unregister Database Instance from DPA  but does not allow. Any idea, how it can be

yes, as i mentioned in Title ... registered client is not available anymore. so it shows status down. Now need to clean up that entry. Anyway going to open support ticket

Are you specifying to clean up DPA monitoring user and artifacs? (I forget exact wording) If yes, then if DPA can't connect to that instance any longer for any reason, it will fail. If you don't select to do those activities, it should be able to remove the instance from DPA. If all else fails, consider opening a support ticket.
