Menu items for Admins only?

Greetings All.

I have created an 'Admin Summary' dashboard designed for our Solarwinds admins only.

We don't want the Admin Summary to appear on the Default menu - non-admins should not see it.

I added the Admin Summary to the 'Menu Bar:Admin' menu bar. However, I and other SW admins do not see this menu item. I suspect the 'Menu Bar:Admin' menu bar applies to the Admin login only.

Does anyone in the community know how to set up a menu item to appear for Solarwinds Administrators only, not just for the Admin user?

@chad.every @robert777 - Robert if you make a menu bar called "admin", and addign it to a random one of those menu bar sections for just your admin accounts group that sorts the problem out. If you're using every menu bar already you want to duplicate one of those bars, then add admin stuff to it, then swap that in as before. Maybe lock down the pages themselves so that dont work for non-admins if need be, as they can still potentially be found.

Chad it'd be so good if there was a "+ Add menu bar socket" button - Particularly for customers with less products.

For fun you can add anything you want to the settings menu bar via either of these scripts and it will only show up for admins

The only limitation is that it will only show about 20+- custom rows before the list goes down lower than the black border thats supposed to go behind them. I think its hard coded to make out at like 70% of the total heigh of your monitor and i didn't bother to hack that up.

When you log into the web console, pay attention to how your username displays at the top right. that is what permissions your account is inheriting.

You then need to go to Settings > All Settings > Manage Accounts and find that reference. It could be an individual account but it's most likely a Windows Group account. The software checks all Windows Group accounts in the order they are listed until a match is found. If you have several groups listed, see if there is a admin only type group that you can move to the top of the list. You'll need to log out and back in to see if your username changed in the top right of the page.
