How can I exclude a node from an alert?

I created the following alert (I copied from a post somewhere, and it seems to have worked out) to trigger when SNMP fails for a node.

How can I exclude a specific node from this alert?

I tried to add the following Secondary Section (with a boolean AND) but it doesn't seem to work. I'm still getting alerts on the node specified in this secondary section.

I've also tried changing it to Node IP Address in the Secondary Section, but still getting the same result.

Yeah, the '<>' is the same as not equal to.  This way you are removing that node from consideration.

But going with your current filter, you could modify it to match partial name or IP for a longer list. I still recommend custom properties though.

If this is something that you plan to do again, I strongly recommend custom properties. You can create a simple yes/no property and call that property in your where clause where it is set to true. That allows you to set and remove that value to multiple nodes without having to touch the alert or make an alert that does not work.
