Hi there,
New to the forum, thanks for having me. I am fairly new to SolarWinds NCM.
In the security settings we are able to choose between global ssh credentials, or individual user credentials.
This setting dictates which login we will see on the end device logs.
I work for a service provider and we manage (mainly Cisco) devices in the 10s of thousands. We need to have individual accountability for mass updates.
Is there any way to have our solarwinds account perform the config backups, and individual user accounts performing everything else? For example:
- Execute script
- Compliance changes / config snippet pushes
- Firmware upgrades
We need this to happen with little/no input from the user themselves to minimise training requirements and risk of missing steps, so switching the credentials in node properties is not an acceptable solution for us.
Many thanks,
Chris
