Historical view of process cpu consume

Hi guys.

   Enviroment: Windows Server 2016 with IIS, .NET , connect to a SQL Server database and a 20 min job with connection to a external devices. 

So, some nights server has sooooo slow response time for one hour (hang web server) with high CPU use. I need to know which process eat all CPU.

   is there any solarwinds plugin, solarwinds tool or something that helps me identify processes CPU consume at a specific time?

Can I confirm you have the SAM module or HCO?

If so then there are some ways you can achieve this. Fundamentally SolarWinds will only monitor process you have per-defined for it to monitor. In this situation we need something a bit more pro-active as maybe we don't know which processes are causing the high CPU.

For this there is a great out of the box alert called "High CPU Utilization with Top 10 Processes" which you should be able to find in your manage alerts page.

As part of the trigger action for this alert, as soon as it detects the high CPU, it begins a poll to specifically bring back the Top 10 processes at that current time. From there it will export this information to an email which will list out these top offending processes.

I would recommend starting here and wait for it to next alert.

Alternatively you can view the real-time process explorer which will show you the processes running in real time from the SolarWinds view. You can find this in the management widget on the Node Detail page
