Does Solarwinds have any PowerBI Connectivity?

Question

Does Solarwinds have any kind of PowerBI reporting connectivity?  Right now for uptime reporting I have a report generated monthly and then they take that data and put it in our PowerBI report.  I thought I remembered something about this a few years back.

There isn't exactly anything specially for PowerBI, but it has an option where you can set it up to use a connection to a database to get data.  You just need to give your PowerBI the correct username and password to get the data from the SQL server directly and set it up with all the relevant SQL queries to populate whatever report you are doing.  I've done this with several clients in the past.  On the other hand other clients didn't want PowerBI to access their DB directly so we just generated Orion reports as CSVs and dumped them to a network share that PowerBI was set to monitor and it would ingest the CSV data.  I prefer the DB connection but you could go either way.

There is no direct connection that I have seen either. You can also create a dataflow to your solarwinds sql db and point PBI at that. It comes down to what you want and what you are most comfortable with.

Not to the best of my knowledge, but then in one of the projects i worked on this is how they did it SolarWinds <- API <- Azure Data lake <-PowerBI
