Alerts on Switch port vlan status

We are working on locking down our network and are putting our unused ports on our switches into a blackhole vlan. Is there a way within SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability to set an alert to see when a user has plugged a device into one of these ports. From the command line side, we can see in the log that the vlan becomes enabled when a device connects. But we are unsure on how to create an alert on that aspect.

You should be able to create an alert tied to these specific ports and set the condition based on the status you want, such as up, to send the alert. Just have an OR condition for each of the ports you want to identify. You'll have to make sure they are all being monitored individually if that's the granularity you want.
