Alerts Bandwith

Hello,

I am new on Solarwinds so i want to know how to send and alert when a bandwith of a internet link have reached more than 155Mps.

I have started configuration but i am not able to include on the email's alert the Current Thoughput of the link.

Exemple:

When i have more than 155Mps, the email tell me: "You have reached more than 155Mps, your current thoughput is 215Mps".

I tried to insert a variable but i don't know which one is good.

Hello i found the variable which are:

${N=SwisEntity;M=Inbps} for Current Bps.

My other question is how can i do to have Mps instead of Bps ?

Hi, add "F=Bandwidth" to the end and it will format it better. Choosing Mbps where applicable:

${N=SwisEntity;M=Inbps;F=Bandwidth}

Is it possible to join on the email's alert, the graph or screeshot of interface's bandwith (like below ) instead of the link to it?

Not that I am aware of, but if someone has done something similar to what you are asking for that would be interesting.

Instead of send an email action use the Email a WebPage action and then make the URL use variables to get the graph/page you want sent.

if you're talking about placing a graph on your email, it's easy in low-security environments, and very hard in high security environments
