I have a small doubt whether we will receive alerts. What happens if we do not receive daily email reports due to SMTP errors or other reasons?

It does generate an error in the log for report actions. I'd have to investigate, but there could be a way to alert on that as well.
Please investigate and update us, if you found anything on this.
@donrobert5 suggestion is probably the best way, beyond checking the report actions log
