Changing polling engine for agent polled nodes stopped working?

The PowerShell scripts I have used successfully for a long time now for changing the polling engine of nodes has stopped working. The commands for changing WMI nodes works, but the command for updating the agent polled nodes using the agent's assigned poller seems to only partially work now. The node still shows up in the web console as assigned to the old node and the agent on the target node never updates with the new polling engine. If I run the command to change the nodes polling engine, this also changes in the web console, but the node just switches to down status and the node's agent never receives the change from the Orion server.

This all worked before. Any ideas what I can do to try and fix/repair this functionality? What I find odd is that the DB shows the new polling engine in the agent and/or node properties respectively.

Thanks for the tag @joshfoxbuckeye, Looks like the associated support case has been escalated internally. I'll be watching it from my end.

@chad.every This is the THWACK post I made. Like I said I probably should have posted it somewhere else and not focused on the script/API. The real problem is that Agent nodes do not migrate properly regardless of the method used to change polling engines.
