Modern Dashboard Permissions for Regular Users

Question

I've created a modern Dashboard for my power users, however if they open it via the Menu bar or via the direct URL they always open the Dashboard as the DIrectLink user.  Becusae of this all the widgets cannot be clicked to open the data for a deep dive.  Has anyone else had this issue and has a resolution?

Detailed Issue.

We have Admins, users, and the DirectLink account for general staff.
I create a Modern Dashboard.
I am the owner of the Modern Dashboard.
The modern Dashboard has a public view.
The URL is added to the Menu bar.
A User logs on and clicks the link or the icon in the menu bar.
The modern Dashboard opens up as DirectLink Logged on , and with those very limited permissions.

Havnt seen anyone with the directlink account in use for a while!

I agree as you can use AD groups to scoop up users fairly easily and the permissions for AD groups in the SolarWinds webconsole are pretty granular too. Pointing them to their main page works very well too.

I don't like the directlink account for a variety of reasons, i usually disable it because if annoying situations similar to this and just add an AD group into Orion with minimal permissions that covers all Active Directory users.  My power users and admins all just get logged into their proper accounts every time, and random other users get their appropriate permissions, and nobody gets dumped into the directlink account.
