NG 1.2 Installation without Internet

I read the release notes for 1.2 and it clearly states that it has fixed "KSS NG can now be installed on machines without internet access." I am fairly certain that one of the case numbers was mine back on installing 1.1, lol. I just want to let you guys know it is NOT fixed. I cannot install NG without internet. I had to download the .NET 8 for it to install. The installer tries to download the software and fails as it cannot get to the internet. When you say KSS NG can be installed on machines without internet is false. It will not install as it cannot download and gives an error and closes.

sorry for confusion. Version 1.1 had major issue that there was no way to install the product without internet regardless you have pre-installed .NET 7.

Version 1.2 requires user pre-installation of .NET 8, but once it is pre-installed, Kiwi NG can be installed. That was major issue we fixed in version 1.2.

Currently, we are not planning to include .NET into Kiwi NG installer due to the size and as the .NET fairly quickly get old. Usually, this type of software is patched on the server.

Hope that sheds some light into this manner.

In my experience the 1.2 installer acted the very same way as 1.1 installer. But I hear what you are saying, it did install once .NET was installed unlike 1.1. But it would be good to see in the installer that if .NET was not found, let the user know, not error out and close. Or maybe give links to the download of the version of .NET you expected to be installed. Just a thought.

Just to share that after gone through some hassle, we manage to install without internet.
