Does anyone have an example of a working TC that monitors a Service on a given Server? It's just a simple Trigger that I need that monitors a running service on a MS Server?
Assuming you own SAM, one way to do it is to pull up the node you want to monitor the service on and click here
Then find the process you want to monitor and click here
Then finish filling out the rest of the wizard.

Referencing your snip above, You want"AND
Status is equal to down"in the trigger condition, andID (or whatever else) equals the ID of the thing. You can get that from the URL on the page you're onOr like Name = X and Server name = Yin the Scope section above.
Note, doing one alert per component isnt ideal, unless that specific component really needs something custom
This is how I usually set them up. Put your component name where I have DNS User Experience. You could also add Warning as another condition if you like.

You could also temporarily remove the IP address as the component will only trigger for nodes that have the SAM application assigned to them.
Is email working for other alerts?
