I'm a bit confused about your question.
Are you asking if you can backup running config or are you asking about getting the result of the Job?
If you want to backup running config then:
1. Node is added in NCM
2. Passed the basic requirements stated in this KB https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/NCM-config-download-basic-requirements
3. You may need to create / Modify device template for your node.
