Kiwi Syslog Server NG 1.1.0.7 but we are unable to receive logs in over IPv6.

Hi Community,

Has anyone been able to receive logs about IPv6? Support are telling us that there is currently a Bug in Syslog NG where these cannot be captured.

Any thoughts/experiences/feedback would be appreciated.

Hello @pabely ,

recently, I was informed about issue with IPv6 that is about action "Log to display", we currently dont have fix and will not have it in upcoming release.

On the other hand I have confirmation that IPv6 works correctly in other actions. If you are storing data to database, file or in cloud - the functionality should works correctly - the only limitation is that you dont see the data in Kiwi NG UI.

Could you confirm described IPv6 behaviour?

That is correct, the prospect would like to see the IPv6 traffic within the Kiwi NG UI, just like you can with IPv4 traffic.
