AppInsight for SQL Components goes into Unknown State

Solarwinds Version is 2023.4.2 .

I am Using the AppInsight for SQL. I am facing an Issue.

AppInsight components goes into unknow State and due to which Availability for the Database Instance is affected.

But actually, the Database Instance was Up and running.

Is there a way to ignore this, so that components does not goes into unknown state.

Is there a way to make the settings, so that it goes into unknown state, if i do not get the response for a component for 3 consecutive times.

Is there a way to ignore, so that component never goes into unknow state?

You could produce an availability report where unknown = up using a case statement

Probably you'd want to solve the problem that's causing them to slip into an unknown state. I'd expect something permissioney. Perhaps using SQL instead of windows or windows instead of SQL creds

If I read this correctly, you appear to have an availability group setup. If you are pointing appinsight at one of the servers in an availability group, it will show unknown when the other member takes over. You may want to point it at the availability group listener to maintain a steady data stream. This will mean that the appinisght credential will most likely need to monitor all group members to scoop up operating system metrics and not just sql metrics.

I'd suspect permissions too, but if the problem comes and goes another possibility could just be timeouts, in which case increasing the allowed timeouts in the template might be a work around.
