I am reviewing an alert need help understanding it.

the actual trigger condition says trigger alert when "all child condition must be satisfied (and) Node Status is not equal to down. The radial button above the trigger says "all objects in my environment (show list). What does this mean i will get alerts on all 13777 devices in that environment list? For example 13777 up notifications?

Like i said Im reviewing conditions... is this correct?

Probably you just need to spend some time with the logic before getting to far into reviews

A good thing to look for is the SCOPE section vs the TRIGGER section

The Idea is the SCOPE is how many things it could trigger on (which i think is what you're clicking for the 13777)
The trigger is when looking for how many of those 13777 or whatever are in the problem state

(note an admin can set these up backward if they wanted to, wouldnt reccomend it, but means it's worth thinking about carefully)

How many triggers would be active (ignoring smoothing) is visible on the final page of the alert wizard

Thank you I didn't realize that it was "could trigger" depending on the state. I'm very new to this, I originally thought it might be better to alert one object or similar objects like group of DB's or Web Servers. This seems like a catch all alert to me. Very helpful.
