Greetings All.
Starting to monitor some Linux processes using the Solarwinds Linux Process Monitor.
Red Hat Enterprise 8 servers, polling with SNMP. Solarwinds version 2023.x.
The monitor successfully returns process up/down status, CPU and Memory.
However, no IO counters returned...
- IO Read Operations Per Second
- IO Write Operations Per Second
- IO Total Operations Per Second
These metrics can be selected under the 'Components' attribute set, however no actual values returned. I have tried both current and historical counters.
Thinking perhaps these metrics are simply not available with SNMP (not published in the RHEL MIB)?
I welcome any thoughts on the availability of IO metrics with Linux Process Monitors polling with SNMP.
