Alert for TOP 10 Processes with HIGH CPU Utilization

Dear Thwack Team,

Need help in configuring alert for finding out Top 10 processes contributing to High CPU Utilization.

We tried to create one with the help of Out-of-the-box template already present in Manage alerts but i am not getting processes names with it.

Can anyone share where we might be going wrong.

IMO you do not want an alert for a Top 10 anything.

An alert should be for a single process, service, node, etc or at best a combination of those for a single node.

In preference you should either look at a report or a Modern Dashboard approach - both have a similar approach in that you'd most likely use a custom SWQL script, but to help further we need some info from you...

Start with providing what you want to see e;g;

or you could have it in a Top 10 style (I don't have a CPU one to hand) but this sort of thing:

So what type of nodes are you talking about? Servers, switches, firewalls??? And what do you need to see as output?

Finally, what have you got so far? There's a lot of threads on this topic, probably fastest to look at those as this is way old and hasnt changed anytime recently
