Asset Inventory

Hi,

I am trying bulk enable Asset Inventory on devices following the article below, but I am struggling to find a query to show me NodeID's which do not have Asset Inventory enabled.

The link below has an example, but that query shows list of nodes which are enabled.

Can one one help me with a query to find out the NodeID for devices which does not have Asset Inventory enabled so that I can enable it using the SWQL studio as per the link above ?

Give this query a try @rupen73

SELECT NodesData.NodeID, NodesData.IsServer
FROM NodesData
LEFT JOIN dbo.AssetInventory_Polling ON NodesData.NodeID = AssetInventory_Polling.NodeID
WHERE [AssetInventory_Polling].NodeID IS NULL
AND NodesData.IsServer = 1

I've included the 'IsServer' field, mainly to filter out network nodes etc, handy for larger environments!

Thanks, yes the above query is SWQL. Added the IsServer as @silverbacksays suggested

  [Nodes].NodeID
, [Nodes].ObjectSubType
, [Nodes].IPAddress
, [Nodes].Caption
, [Nodes].IsServer
, [Nodes].AssetInventory.Enabled
FROM Orion.Nodes
Where [Nodes].IsServer <> 'False' AND [Nodes].AssetInventory.Enabled IS NULL
Order By [Nodes].Caption ASC

This should get you started, it will list all of the ones that are enabled as well as null.

SELECT 
  [Nodes].NodeID
, [Nodes].ObjectSubType
, [Nodes].IPAddress
, [Nodes].Caption
, [Nodes].AssetInventory.Enabled

FROM Orion.Nodes
Order By [Nodes].AssetInventory.Enabled DESC

Invalid object name 'Orion.Nodes'.

That would imply you are using SQL rather than SWQL. Becareful using SQL as SolarWinds could (and do) make changes to Tables within the database..
