5 minute moving average chart?

I've been tasked with this: "Setup a rule to track and graph Average Bandwidth. 5 min rolling average like MRTG "

I have looked at the images of a 5 min moving or rolling average charts on the web, but I can't find one that displays data like those in Solar Winds. It looks like only certain built in graphs give me the ability to select a 5 min polling time, which is what I need to have the graph correct.

If you know which graph would match this or is as close as I can get, let me know where to find it.

Hi @John-AVUSD ,

First thing, it is just a suggestion I may be wrong but this is my suggestion never look at two monitoring tools in a same way or compare them, because every Tool/application is having its own features, limitations and there own way of data representation and when we talk about the data representation depending on the data every tool has it's own way of representing it and putting it in there own terminology.

Second, Now coming to answer your question, as I understood you want to create a graph that can represent the data for Average Bandwidth for the network device in SolarWinds. Right

So to do that you can create a "performance analysis" graphs for the Average Bandwidth and that will give live data and also you can put custom time range to have a granular data from the past and to do your analysis.

I will look at the choices for a performance analysis graph. I've looked at a lot of the graphs available already. I'm going to guess, based on your answer that Solar Winds does not have a 5 minute rolling ( moving ) average chart in it's list of charts. I have a chart that shows an average and polls every 5 minutes. I don't know if that is enough to satisfy my boss's request.

you should try creating the performance analysis graph in that you will have complete visibility of data. You may will get data for every 5 mins as well.
