Enabling AlertStack in the existing Main Polling Engine ?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know if there are any additional license required when enabling the Solarwinds AlertStack from the URL: https://swmonitor.mydomain.com/apps/aiim/settings

What is the best practice to scale up the Main Polling Engine and the SQL Server database VM when enabling this feature?

There are no notes regarding additional licensing in AlertStack (solarwinds.com), so I'm guessing there are none. (Don't hold me to this)

From the release notes for that revision:

SolarWinds Platform 2023.1 offers the following improvements compared to previous releases of SolarWinds Platform.
AlertStack
AlertStack is a new feature that can help reduce alert noise and assist in possible root cause analysis to give you a quicker MTTR (mean time to resolution). AlertStack is an opt-in feature that must be turned on in AlertStack settings. AlertStack continually monitors alerts and change events and correlates these using SolarWinds Platform topological information, pulling associated events and alerts together into a single alert cluster. The alert cluster stays activated, and correlated alerts will continue to be added to the cluster, for as long as any associated alerts remain active.
AlertStack is disabled by default and can be enabled after upgrading by navigating to All Settings > Product Specific Settings > AlertStack Settings.

As far as the SQL Server database and Polling Engine requirements, I believe those numbers were automatically, built into the system requirements for said version as well.

Not sure what sort of load this adds onto your Primary Poller, I am testing this in one of my boxes, will keep you posted if I see an odd behavior.
