How do I configure NCM to send email alerts when a port violation (Sticky MAC) occurs on Ruggedcom switch

I've configured real time change detection in NCM. The trap messages are received on the Orion Server (below), but it is not sending the email alerts.

This is reflected in the log (C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion\NCM\NcmBusinessLayerPlugin.log.1):

Do I need to add a new alert for it to send the mail? If so how do I do it?

I've bot done precisely what you are asking, but yes you will need to cerate a 'Traps' rule. Go to the Traps dashboard and click settings top right and then in the new screen click on create.

Follow this for details: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/lm/lm-create-custom-rules.htm but at one point it offers to create an associated alert. You will want to that. Finish off your trap rule and then switch to the manage alerts and edit the alert to send an eMail as its trigger action.
