Group member machine type

I'm trying to add a table widget to my Group views, that displays the group member name, group member machine type, and the group member vendor. This is so I can see what hardware is being used by the group easily.

using some of the prebuilt templates, I've not been able to figure out the syntax needed to get this working.

Can anyone help assist with this?

I'm messing with the SWQL and I can't figure out how to get the machinetypes for the groups. I think I'm getting close with:

SELECT MachineType FROM Orion.Nodes WHERE Orion.Nodes.Group is 'group 1'

I'm trying to find the syntax to filter the by group, and assuming machinetype has the information i'm looking for.

Because you are dealing with Groups, there is no obvious (that I can see) link between groups and nodes where you need to be able to pull items like vendor and machine type from...

So you need to flip the thinking or SWQL logic and start at the groups level and work to JOIN in nodes. I think the following code will get you what you want but if not, it should be a good start. Adjust the ORDER BY as you see fit or drop it all together.

SELECT
    c.Name AS [GroupName],
    cm.Name AS [GroupMemberName],
    n.Vendor,
    n.MachineType

FROM Orion.ContainerMembers AS cm
JOIN Orion.Groups AS c ON c.ContainerID = cm.ContainerID
JOIN Orion.Nodes AS n ON cm.MemberPrimaryID = n.NodeID

ORDER BY c.Name, cm.Name
