SMTP with Amazon SES

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to send my SMTP alerts via Amazon SES. However it requires TLS and using port 587. Has anyone done this before? Is this even possible? The SMTP server setting shows a use SSL check box, but I am getting target machine actively refused connection.
