Newbie Question - .NET Framework + Windows Management Framework Package

Hi There,

I'm very new to administrating Solarwinds Patch Manager, so I apologise in advance if I'm asking something stupid.

I noticed SolarWinds Patch Manager has a .NET Framework option under Microsoft in the Client Publishing Wizard (though sadly there are no packages).

This has got me wondering whether it would be possible to create a custom package for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 and a custom package for Windows Management Framework 4.0 in an effort to mass deploy powershell to our network.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on this?

You can create a package for any .exe or .msi or .msp you want to deploy. There is a bit of work in defining some rules for it, but it should be possible to do.

Unfortunately Windows Management Framework is sourced as an .msu. MSU files can't be deployed with Solarwinds. Seems best option here is GPO.

What would be really useful, would be if the Developers just created an upgrade package for 4.6.2 for existing installed versions.
