Classic and Modern Dashboard integration

Hopefully a simple question.

I am creating a dashboard for the Storage Team presenting capacity metrics and graphs, I can see some of the tables in Classic dashboards, and other graphical widgets in Modern dashboards.

Is there a way I can have the Classic Dashboard as the landing page, and then a link/tab in the left-hand navigation pane taking the user to a separate Modern dashboard? I have seen a previous post from 2 years ago and a mention that this feature may be introduced. Is there any other way to integrate Classic and Modern dashboards?

I understand your desire to combine the Classic Dashboard and Modern Dashboard into a single view. While this is not directly possible due to the different rendering mechanisms of each dashboard type, there are a couple of workarounds that can achieve a similar effect.

As you mentioned, the "dashboards" are actually Views, and each View type has its own unique rendering logic. This means that you cannot directly embed a Modern Dashboard within a Classic Dashboard, or vice versa. Additionally, tabs within a view inherit the same limitations and restrictions, so applying a View Limitation to one tab would automatically apply it to all tabs.

However, there is a workaround that can provide a seamless user experience between the two dashboard types. You can create a User Links widget within the Classic Dashboard and point it to the URL of the Modern Dashboard. This will allow users to easily navigate between the two dashboards. Additionally, you can add a Link Back widget to the Modern Dashboard that points back to the Classic Dashboard, providing a return path for users.
