Fist time poster and new Solarwinds user reporting in!
That being said apologies for the simple questions, but I'm having trouble finding the right information.
We are currently running NPM version 2023.3
My group is implementing some environmental alarming equipment and I have the equipment set up to report 12 different alarm conditions by sending SNMP traps to my local Solarwinds poller. I can see the traps coming into my Solarwinds instance by using the Log Viewer for traps. My problem is that while I've created many alerts in the past through the GUI, I can't seem to find a way to have a specific trap generate a specific alert. Is there an option or a way to have a specific SNMP trap trigger a custom alert(example: Open door, loss of power, generator running, etc...)? I've seen many other posts talking about building custom SQL queries to achieve this goal but I do not have much real experience in that department. Are there any guides for simple 1 trap to 1 alert creation? If SQL is the only way to go are there any tutorials on that path?
Sorry again for the basic question and thanks in advance for any support that is received!
