Unable to Export/Save NG Setting

We migrated to NG and was able to used the import feature to get our configuration and rules into it. After tweaking the rules to get it working, We now need to duplicate the settings to the other NG servers but are unable to do so. The Export Settings in NG doesn't work (clicking on it does nothing) or if it does, we can't find where it's putting the configuration file. We can't even find a save button to save configuration to an .ini file. Anyone know how to get around this?

Hello @andrew.afolabi ,

I am happy to see your feedback that you successfully migrated your configuration from Legacy Kiwi. We are aware of the limitation of migration and its great you tweaked the remaining items that could not be converted manually.

About export/import functionality - we are aware of absence of this feature, it is on our roadmap and we did not had time yet to implement it. Please, post a feature request.

Interesting, this should have been included to make it easy for people to migrate to NG. For someone that has multiple servers and running them in various clusters environment, you will have to manually configure each server manually from scratch, which is very time consuming.

Surprising that a configuration export feature was not included with the GA release, since this is a recommended action when performing upgrades to new versions (i.e. before the next release which hopefully will add this capability).

@mgebauer Not to dig up old posts, but I'm in the process of setting up new NG servers, and was wondering about settings as well. Aside from possibly having to change some server specific info for each new server, would there be any issues with simply copying the files from a production server (C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\KiwiSyslogService\Settings\*.json) and pasting them into the same location on a new NG server? I'd hate to do this, thinking it was working properly, only to eventually find out something in the settings get jumbled up later on down the road.

Unfortunately, we do not support Export/import functionality in current version. Its on our roadmap. Please, contact support team and post a feature request. We value every voice that helps.
