Anyone experience issues on Solarwinds where the Job engine goes into overdrive and causes 100% utilisation?

Question

SW version 2023.2.0.1328,

3am this morning the CPU hit 100% utilisation, we have not installed any new versions for the last couple of months and SW has been running ok. Task manager points to the job engine constantly spinning.

New to SW so grateful for any suggestions, thank you

I jumped from 2020.2.6 HF5 to 2023.4.2 last month and it was PAINFUL. I only ran into one issue with this and that was due to an error in the Cortex logs of our primary poller. Restarted all services after seeing it was a cortex error and have been fine since.

However, I have heard and was warned by our company's SolarWinds Partner that we should not go to 2023.3.x as originally planned due to bugs causing excessive resource utilization. Hope you are not experiencing that!

Have you checked if/what jobs are running in NCM - jobs at that time of the morning? There might be a database purge job and maybe backups running causing it.
