Virtual NIC's in "unknown" status but they do not show up in resource view.

Hello Everyone, I just inherited a SW deployment at my new job. We have a large VM footprint and I noticed that a lot of the VMXNET3 NIC status is "unknown". I know what causes this problem but the issue is a lot the servers I can go and delete the unknown interface, but many of them I cannot even see the NIC listed in resources to do so. Has anyone experienced this issue and what can I do to resolve this? We have a large amount of VM's so it's not practical for me to re-discover each VM one by one. Also, I set the DB settings to remove stale interfaces after 7 days, but that doesn't seem to work or at least not for the VMXNET3 Virtual NICS.

Hi Brian

Try this.

Go to Manage Nodes make sure the drop-down is set to Interfaces instead of Nodes, now search for the node name of which you want to remove the interface from.

Thanks, I tried that and it does not show up either. The only way to get rid of the " One or more interfaces are in an Unknown state" is to "list resource" and re-discover the interface.
