Where to copy drivers for Oracle DB monitoring?

Greetings all.

Working on a requirement to monitor Oracle databases. I've downloaded the Oracle Instant Client and extracted the files.

I see that these files need to be copied to [home drive]:\Solarwinds\Orion.

Question: I'm not sure about just where these (30 or so) files should be copied to?  Directly into \Orion?  subdirectory of \Orion?  Some kind of PATH need to point to the drivers folder?

There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between Oracle documentation on how to load the drivers, and what I can find on Thwack.

If someone can provide clarity on the specific file location needed for these Oracle drivers that would be fantastic.  Thanks.

Greetings all.

A little bit of research and experimentation answered the question.

short version: you copy the Oracle files directly onto '[program files]\Solarwinds\Orion' on the polling server(s). 

Downloaded the latest-and-greatest Instant Client files from Oracle.  Current version of Instant Client unzips to 27 files. \Solarwinds\Orion directory on my system has > 2000 files.  I guess 27 more won't hurt.  

No warnings about duplicate file names so I'm not overwriting any critical system files.

In the Oracle User Experience monitor I choose 'Microsoft .NET Data Provider' even though the files came from Oracle.

Correct port number, Oracle Destination Point Type, Destination Point Name, credentials, and Bingo I'm in. 

I've got some work to do on the query (provided by DBA team) to make the code return data to Solarwinds.  However, the drivers and user experience monitor connect to the Oracle DB as expected.
