Solarwinds 2023.3.1 running on windows server 2016. Need in place upgrade windows server 2016 to 2022

HI,

Running Solarwinds 2023.3.1 on windows server 2016.

want to do in-place upgrade windows server 2016 to windows server 2022.

would be any risk involved? and impact?

what will be the best approach do need a seperate server of windows server 2022 and then we can migrate Solarwinds Roles on 2022 server from 2016? or in-place upgrade will work smoothly.

Need a detail discussion for the best plan.

I am not sure how to feel about an in place upgrade. I understand that it works much better now from teammates. It is a matter of probably running config wizards to 'refresh' the solarwinds installation on those servers. Otherwise, there is an option to migrate to new servers using the HA functionality to hop over by setting the new servers up in HA pairs with the existing, then failing over to them. After ensuring that the new servers are good, you would disable HA, and decommission those older servers.
