Alerts every time IIS Application Pool Recycles

Hey all,

I have come across a few posts on discussing this but can't find a good answer. How do I stop the constant alerts I get from IIS AppInsight template every time an Application Pool recycles? The Worker Process Statistic Monitor is what is firing off as down when this happens. Ideally, I would be able to set this to only alert after so many polls of being down. But there are no options for that that I can find. 

I did find the below feature request, but thought this would be more of an issue with others as well? Unless I'm doing something wrong, which is entirely possible.

I think it would depend on how you set your SAM template and alerts up. We typically try to set our SAM templates to poll at the same frequency as the node gets polled, so pick a number there, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, whatever. Then when you set the alert up you can tell it to check the alert every X minutes on the first page, then on the second page the condition must exist for X minutes. If you set the second page to twice the polling interval that is usually enough time for a reboot, app pool recycle, etc to occur before the alert fully triggers. This does delay the alert for a couple minutes but also keeps someone from getting paged because it is too sensitive. It is a balancing act for sure.
