Installing SAM on MacBook for linux server

So I wanted to try out SAM for my linux server on my MacBook but im having trouble downloading the installer. I download it and try to open it but I keep getting an error from finder:

-10661. I tried switching browsers and using safari but I get this error as well: This program cannot be run in DOS mode.
Is SAM only for windows or I might be missing something. I would really appreciate some assistance on this as I'm new to the realm of motoring tools. Thank you!

Correct, SAM can only be installed on Windows, once you have it running on a Microsoft server it could be used to monitor OSX servers mostly using SSH scripts, but that's not really the target audience, less than 1% of businesses run OSX servers.
