Displaying the SolarWinds Platform Map on group details view dynamically

We've recently upgraded to SolarWinds platform version 2023.3.1. Currently, we're in the process of transitioning our maps to Orion maps. However, when attempting to utilize the SolarWinds platform map widgets through the "Map Name Format" on our group details dashboard, we are encountering the following error message: "The selected map is no longer available." I've tried various name formats like ${Name} and Group ${Name}, but unfortunately, I haven't had any success. I've also double-checked the map names, and they seem to be correct. Strangely, when I manually select the map, it functions correctly.

I continue to receive feedback from my Orion support team stating that this feature is currently unavailable:

"The Map widget, created by Network Atlast, has the capability to dynamically display maps for each node group by selecting the 'Map name format' (e.g., ${Name}). However, it's worth noting that this feature is not currently accessible for the Orion Map. When a user selects a specific map in Orion, that same map will be displayed for all the groups."

This was the response from SolarWinds support after we updated to version 2023.3. However, I couldn't find any mention of this bug in the release notes. Since we've now upgraded to 2023.3.1, I've lodged a new support ticket.

Cause of this issue:

Skipped point on feature parity which can prevent moving to Orion Map instead of Network Atlas

This is a known bug in Orion Map Widget.

Map (Network Atlast) widget has a feature that it can dynamically display Map for each node group by selecting the 'Map name format' (i.e ${Name}. This feature is not available in the Orion Map widget and if the user selects a particular map, this map will be displayed to all the Groups.

Still there is no workaround for this issue.

The development teams look very closely at each one to determine viability and will decide on the timeline of the release. We cannot deliver timeframes or release dates for all.
