AppInsights for SQL disable monitoring all DBs in the instance

Hello all, I am setting up AppInsights for SQL and had a question. I only want to monitor the application database in the instance. I'd like to exclude the standard DBs like master and there is another DB that is used by a 3rd party. Is there a way to exclude DBs from monitoring with the AppInsights template?

If you don't give the SQL service account access to those tables then you won't collect data from them. You control that all on the SQL permissions side.

Yeah, that's possible. Wouldn't that just result in a ton of authentication failures though as the account tries to poll those resources?

I've kept the service account with read-only access to all DB's in the SQL instance. Then post assignment i've run this SQL query on my main SW database to 'unmanage' or effective stop polling on DB's i didn't want to monitor.
