SW pings a node for up|down status ever two minutes and polls for date (snmp) every 10 minutes. An alert will fire when the node is down based on icmp. This if for Cisco routers and switches so an agent is not possible. I cannot find nor figure out that if snmp fails how to get an alert to fire. Ideas, suggestions…
