I've been combing through thwack and there are various posts on this subject, each addressing slightly different version of Orion. I want to create an alert for a node that is not up, for member nodes of specific groups. For example if server1 goes down and its a member of the Node Group Exchange, then send an email or (as…
I've created a Custom SQL Alert trigger condition on IPAM nodes which looks like this: select IPAM_NodeReportView.IPAddress, IPAM_NodeReportView.IPNodeId from IPAM_NodeReportView WHERE ipnodeid in (SELECT a.ipnodeid FROM IPAM_IPHistoryReport a INNER JOIN (SELECT ipnodeid, max(IPAM_IPHistoryReport.Time) as tt from…
Right now we have an alert that will email if a router is rebooted. We are more interested in building one that would tell if a machine is stuck in a boot loop. Is there a way to configure an alert that would check to see if New Boot Time is <10 mins from the old boot time or something?
Say there is an SDWAN router interface A and Interface B (both connected to Inet) - I want to be notified when both of them reach the same Transmit or Receive threshold utilization together?
Hi, I have Node not polled in last 10 minutes alerts enabled in our environment. For last few days I have started receiving around 700 alerts every minute due to one polling engine showing showing up as down and last database sync also having some issues. Can you please tell how this can be fixed? Thanks, Ankit
Hi Thwack folks! Is it possible to build a graph/view with quantity of thin AP's per WLC? I know that there is a list of them but you need to enter to each WLC to see them and it would be helpful to get than number visible for example in a NOC View. Workarround accepted indeed. Thank you!
Use case: I try to leverage Orion General Thresholds for most of my basic monitors to keep them consistent and allow the ability to override on a per node/volume instance. Problem: Is there a way to have a variable alert severity? Currently I have to generate two (or more) alerts to have multiple severities. EX: CPU/Disk…
Hi, I have been reading up a lot about dependencies and alerts in order to customize the alerting for our environment. We have around 90 sites globally and would like to have some level of intelligent alerting. So what that means is that when a site goes down (all nodes within the group) only the site should alert and not…
Hi all, We would like to create an alert where if a node goes down in a group that was already down for a certain amount of time, it triggers a new action. Context: A group will be marked as a down if 1 or more nodes go down with in it. We primarily use group alerting as we do not want to receive notifications for multiple…
Is there a way to create an alert for an interface (typically the WAN) that shows up/up but haven't passed any traffic in X amount of seconds?
