I have an ESX server that I'm polling. Most polling is working OK. SolarWinds is polling using the basic VMware API. Iv made an account on the ESX server for SolarWinds to use and its connected fine. ESX status is: UP Operational state: Connected The only issue I'm having is the last poll message always states: Hardware…

Basically the title. We don't pay for VMAN, it's just the basic functionality included by default, I am constantly going into the virtualization tab: your-orion-instance/.../VIMVMwareSummary.aspx ...and finding virtual machines or hosts that have been created, but haven't been added to Solarwinds. I know you might say…
Is it possible to monitor Hyper-V with the SolarWinds Agent instead of WMI? The agent is much more security then opening up WMI across firewalls.

I've tried to turn off polling and…

Hi - we are a potential VMAN user, specifically with VMWare. I need to periodically generate an inventory report of all VMs. However, not all of the guest OS's are monitored separately via SNMP or WMI. So my question is with VMAN, if I run a "All VMs" report, will that include guest OS's that are not directly monitored in…
The _VMs with Bad Tools alert is reporting nearly half of my VM's have bad tools. When I log into vSphere, all of the VM's test and report the tools are current. Is there a fix for this?
Our vcenter has been upgraded to version 7.03U but we cannot add it to the VMAN.
We are running the latest version of Solarwinds HCO which includes VMAN. We have both VMware and Hyper-V environments, but my question here is on Hyper-V (if it makes a difference). We love the Recommendations feature, and scheduling VM upgrades. Is there a way to manually schedule an upgrade through this feature, where it…
