I'm trying to create my first alert to trigger when an uplink from an ESXi host to a distributed switch changes. I cannot determine where I would look for the object.
Morning all, I have bought a 64 socket license but i have sockets 68 registered within Vcentre. I dont want to monitor one of the ESXi hosts which has 4 sockets, so is it possible to exclude / remove the host from the manager so that the license will be compliant. Thanks in advance
I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but my capacity planning reports inside of VMAN are blank. I'm not sure how long this has been the case - it's been awhile since I needed to go here. Polling's good, recommendations/sprawl info is just fine and populating normally. Thanks for any info!
Hey Guys and Gals looking for a way to pull up a list of ESx hosts that are in maintenance mode(according to vcenter not Orion), this info is available in the database. From said list I'd like to provide a link for the user to utilize to go to that esx host, this doesn't seem to be available in the DB but is available via…
Dear, I would like to ignore the S:\ drive letter (label SWAP) from this report. Since the pagefile is stored on that drive and the disks have been created with only a few extra 100 mb's, all my VM's are listed as being out of space. Is this possible? Thanks in advance, Erik
Has anyone successfully setup a way to remove snapshots automatically? I've done some searching around Thwack / Google searching and have come up empty. Thank you,
Hi, I want to create separate reports for each of our RessourcePools. But when I select VMs with a dynamic query from a pool I cannot access objects/columns from the "VM statistic history". Is there a solution for this? Many thanks in advance. Regards Joern
Hello everyone, Would like your feed back. We migrated from vCenter01 to vCenter02, but now some of the virtualization assets don't show that the VMs moved to vCenter02 in Orion. Do we have to performed some type of re-Discovery?
We're a bit late to the party, but finally just upgraded our Orion environment to the newest versions (we'd missed a few. We went from NPM 12.0/SAM 6.3/VMAN 7.2 to 12.2/6.6/8.2). We are taking advantage of the new Orion VMAN Polling and used the Migration Wizard under Virtualization Settings to move from the VMAN Appliance…
I am new to Solarwinds. I'm currently trying to answer a simple question, but I am frustrated with my current understanding of Solarwinds. What I want to know is exactly how much memory (actual data value, in megabytes, gigabytes, etc.) is in use when a virtual machine is polled. I would also like to know how much memory…
