Is there a way to put VMs into maintenance mode or mute alerts for them? I know if there is an agent on them, or they are monitored with an agent as well, we can mute the alerts for the node that way. I'm asking specifically for VMs in VMAN.
Running NPM with VMAN 2023.4.2. The value that's being shown for provisioned space (and resultantly, the percentage of overallocation) is not correct by an entire order of magnitude. Solarwinds is reporting that the 3.6 TB drive has over 15 TB of space allocated, whereas the total is significantly lower - we have space…
We have an issue I'm trying to solve. Every 12 hours our ESX hosts spike in CPU for about 15 minutes (at Midnight and Noon). We've figured out that it's VMWare VMAN Configuration polling that's causing it. We determined this by shutting that off and it not reoccurring. As well as looking at the database job the setup makes…
Hi all, I would really appreciate some help please? I've noticed a few similar posts on this were not resolved. Please excuse my lack of SQL knowledge. Is there a way I can list the names of the snapshots files? The built in alert only counts. I've trawled through the datastores and unable to see anything of note and would…
Sorry, last topic I saw on this in the suggestions was over 5 years ago, so I doubt it's relevant to what I am seeing. I need to add additional polling engines to our Solarwinds platform, and have been on with Support to address a bug where the agent was reporting a mismatch with the platform. Upgrade was done successfully…
Hi Everyone, We have a deployment using HCO advanced with around 300/500 node licenses plus another 600 ICMP only which are showing to not be consuming licenses in the platform however, when we try to add VMAN nodes we get an error stating we don't have any available node license. I suspect this is a bug of sorts.
We have multiple vmware environments 1 of which is protected by SRM for DR. In SolarWinds it is reporting all of the Placeholders as Down VMs despite not actually being VMs. How do we resolve this? Why doesnt VMAN know how to deal with placeholders?
Hello, I am fairly new to managing our SolarWind installation. Currently we have 2 Hyper-V VMs running SQL Database whose memory usage is typically around 95% which is not unusual for this database server. The issue I am running into is that even though I overridden the default threshholds for memory monitoring these nodes…
I am using 100% of my VMAN licenses and so receive a constant alert about it. We are very static when it comes to virtual infrastructure growth so I would like to disable the alert but cannot seem to locate it in the list. Does anyone know how to disable that specific alert?
Hi All, I am new to Solarwinds. I would like to monitor a vSphere environment. I have added the vCenter to Solarwinds, and it scans and bombards me with things that are either good or bad, everything fine... But now i want to exclude certain vm's from an alert for example i want to exclude them from the "VMs with Large…
