Not sure if this is a regression of some sort but after upgrading to the latest 15.4 when creating a new user and forcing a password at first logon, users are presented with this error. I have reinstalled just to make sure there wasn't anything bad with the installer. Coming from 15.3.2 HF 1. Users can log in if not forced…
We transfer files to an external client and during their maintenance window (of which we are not notified prior), the connection to their site is somewhat successful, but the transfer fails with a "Permission Denied" error. We have an event set up in Serv-U to send a notification when a file is downloaded which is…
I have a few Serv-U setups running, and some of them are using external smb shares like NAS or windows file shares requiring authentication. My Serv-U servers are not domain joined and my serv-u services are running as a local service account on the server. My storage solutions are often domain joined or at least using…
Has anyone encountered connection refused or other connection errors after upgrade from ServU 15.3.0.1375 to 15.3.2.155. Some users continued normally while others could not connect to upload. Over the day of upgrade, more and more could not connect. We experienced this before and after the hotfix 15.3.2-HF1. We rolled…

Seems the new Release to 15.2.3 requires the SERV-U service to be run under "NETWORK-SERVICE" and assigning permissions to Install folder and users Home drives I followed the article at Running Serv-U under NETWORK SERVICE (solarwinds.com) Now this…
We are migrating our ServU instance to a new set of web and DB servers. Right now we have version 15.1.1.108 running on a Windows Server 2012 machine. That connects to a Windows Server 2006r2 machine running SQL Server 2012. The Users and Groups for ServU are all DB hosted. This setup has been working fine for years. We…
I am migrating to a new server and changing to SQL for my user database (currently it has the user accounts in files under c:\programdata\..\users). Is there a way to export my groups from my current server and import them on the new one into SQL? I can export the users but I don't see a way to do it for groups.
If I have 3 Environments for MFT (Prod, DR and Non Prod), all environments with paired servers behind a Load Balancer. Would I create a server identity for each environment (3) or would I create 1 server identity accross my entire suite of MFT.? ie Prod Load balancer has 2 MFT nodes, DR LB has 2 Nodes and Non Prod has 2…
We are looking to see if SolarWinds has a tool available that can parse the Serv-U log files into a tabular, user friendly format that can easily distinguish information for sessions like userid, protocol used, source IP address, etc. Looking at the format, should be possible, though time consuming, to develop something.…
Logging into the New Web Client, after correctly loading every directory and without clicking anything, this message is shown: Anybody encountered this before?
