I have a lot of devices that can send syslogs to LEM; however, often there aren't connectors for those logs. I would love to see a small development environment for creating your own syslog connectors. I imagine two different ways this could be implemented... The first method would allow you to look at the raw syslogs,…
We would like the Solar Winds Security Event Manager to add two new connectors to be able to monitor two additional specifc logs on Windows machines. These are standard Windows evtx logs, and the names and paths of these logs are as follows: Names: Microsoft-Windows-RemoteDesktopServices-RdpCoreTS/Operational…
The nodes connected with the SEM appear by IP or name and may not be enough to identify those nodes, and therefore there is a need for the possibility of adding a display name or a description for any nodes , and making a Tag to any node for grouping purpose.
Is there a way to change a name of a syslog node .to be a hostname instead of IP address . Note: even if the node (for example router or a switch) has a hostname it is still shown with ip address in SEM. so is there a way to make a syslog node appeared with hostname instead of ip address in SEM Manager. Note :Case number…
Similar to the existing O365 connector, I'd like to see a connector built for MS 365 Defender. The cloud security product from MS is becoming more popular and would be very useful to see identified threats from 365 Def in SEM.
I want to use the Last Event Received Property in a rule or filter.for example i want to create a rule to show nodes with Last Event Received = bofre (specific date, year, month, day, hours, minutes) . the same applied to filter.
Per the Central Log Server Security Requirements Guide, the SEM should display an explicit log out message indicating the termination of authenticated communications sessions. This is a requirement at the DoD site I work at, and should also be for most government entities. Thanks Steve
The SEM needs to have user acknowledge the logon banner per the Security Requirements Guide V2R1 that I have to follow at a government site. The banner needs to have an "OK" button to click through before the system lets you log in. This is the case for the DoD and government sites. Thank You
This feature request should be an important feature as the compliance requirement for this is required indefinitely. Support team has asked us to raise a feature request. This password policy is available for SEM web console but not for CMC console. This should be deployed for SolarWinds SEM to be Compliant with the said…
