Can Solarwinds monitor and backup Cisco FirePower?
In the NCM Compliance Moduel, allow Node Variables (i.e. custom properties) to be used in String Matching (i.e. "ip route ${VOIP_SUBNET} 255.255.255.0 ${FW_IPADDRESS}") so that node or site specific configurations can be checked.
NCM's SMTP server settings (fig. 1) seem redundant with the Orion platform's SMTP server settings (fig. 2). Is there any reason this can't be consolidated so NCM can simply rely on the mail server settings for the entire platform?
Would be nice to update the database schema without installing the products. For example, client has NPM 12.0 and it took a day to copy and restore the database and do the progressive updates to 2020.2. How about a program to take any old database and upgrade it to the most current schema without having to stand up…
For example certain vendor model switches want the extension of xxxxx.cfg and wont accept xxxx.config as it chooses to think that is invalid.
Hello we are currrently working on VM automated deployment. Do you have any plans to develope some Ansible modules ie Create/Discover node, Delete node, Manage/UnManage etc ? We are able to work around the above scenarios by using REST API, Python scripts with orionsdk but native ANsible modules would be awesome thanks…
Under the Configs > Config Summary tab, I can see the Policy Violation field which provides a list of a few of the policy reports available; this is useful as I can easily see if there is any error (info/warning/critical) detected. However, I cannot find a way to choose which reports are showing in this summary list and in…
Collect LLDP inventory information. there are three things I'm interested in being collected for inventory purposes: a) LLDP neighbors node, interface, remote-chassis-id, remote port, remote SystemName b) LLPD power discovery to detect over-committed PoE provisioning on a switch
Despite being around for many years there doesn't seem to be much capability to customise inventories. It would be very useful to be able to add the commands needed to obtain arp tables, route tables, forwarding databases, adjacencies / neighbours for different protocols etc. The differences between the output to these…
In the various graphs that come as standard in the NCM summary screens; E.g. %backed up / %no backed up %startup = running it would be nice to click on each part of the graph and be taken to a corresponding list. i.e. click on "not backed up" get a list of the nodes that have not been backed up. Simple!
