Working to figure out what is causing issues with a parallel query. Query should finish in 9 seconds and took 2+ hours. Looking at query wait times in DPA all I see is CXPACKET. This describes the wait times of the main consumer thread. But it does not tell me what the 8 producer threads were waiting on. The producer…
From where exactly does DPA pull its data? Is there an agent on the DB Server? WMI? Is it a good reflection of the SQL server engine point of view? Thank you.
Does anyone have a set of queries that can be used to pull information regarding a session, total blocking time, total waiting time etc. I need to provide some stats but the current reporting does not satisify it.

The data also includes the database user, machine, program, SQL text, last execution date ad number of executions. See comments inside the procedure for more details on the parameters…

Hi, We have 2 servers with 2 DPA installations and 2 repositories, one of them internally and the other one in an Azure server. We want to migrate the internal one to the Azure server and we want to be able to monitor all of DBs (over 20) from the same DPA installation that is already in the Azure server. I have moved DPA…

When this protocol was disabled I found the following error logs: * SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x8009030c, state 14 while establishing a connection with integrated security; the connection has been closed. Reason:…
In DPA, when choosing a monitored server, then wait status, and I can see a current tab on the top of the screen, After clicking it, I can see currently active sessions and currently blocked sessions. In the session ta --> Action --> kill sessions. What privilege do I need to kill the sessions from here? Thanks
